Marc Russell is a very knowledgeable ecologist and was happy to share his expertise of Bush tucker with UWG members on Sat 30th April. He gave a slide show of plant families and explained how they can be eaten or used for other purposes. He brought along a large display of tube stock for sale. For those who missed out, Marc sells his plants at the Gympie markets. One week the markets are at the duck pond, next week at the showgrounds.
Marc has also shared a document of Bush tucker plants. Link here to Marc Russell’s Bushfood Handout
PLEASE NOTE IF YOU ARE PRINTING THIS DOCUMENT IT MUST BE DONE IN COLOR TO HIGHLIGHT THE DANGERS.
The UWG team are planning the next workshop and are always looking for subjects to cover. Please get in touch if you have any ideas.
