As part of the Engaging Science project 'Tread Lighlty' there are three more events at which you can volunteer. Events 8, 9 and 10 at The Sand Island, Cranks Creek and Sheep Island.
Clean up for Turtles
We are seeking volunteers to help us with this beach clean-up event, 'Clean up for Hatchlings', at Sunrise Beach on Saturday 31st January.
Update on MSQ Boating Regulations
There are changes to the regulations for boating on the Noosa River. MSQ is delivering the changes to address safety, amenity and environmental issues resulting from vessel congestion in the Noosa River.
Shorebirds at Noosa Library
Pop down to the Noosa library where Pam Walpole and Yanni Van Zijl have created an Art Installation specifically about the migratory sea birds that nest and rest in the Noosa estuary.
NICA’s Books for Sale
NICA has recently published ‘Noosa’s Native Plants – Flowering Now’ by Stephanie Haslam. This book is now available for sale and would make an excellent Christmas present.
NICA’s AGM and Annual Report
On Friday 28th November NICA members enjoyed a river cruise aboard the Noosa Ferry for the AGM and end of year celebration.
