NICA recently presented Jill Dening with a painting by renowned local artist and NICA Management Committee member Pam Walpole, at a surprise morning tea following a bird monitoring morning.
This was in appreciation for her 20 years’ incredible contribution to monitoring and protecting South-East Queensland’s Migratory and Resident Shorebirds/Waders and their habitat, and in particular, those in the Noosa River Estuary.
Her enthusiasm, knowledge and dedication has been and will continue to be inspirational to others..
Jill and her husband James now spend half the year in Tasmania.
