Bookings for NICA’s free, guided walks for the 2023 Sunshine Coast Wildflower Festival have been fast and furious. The popular Headland Section of Noosa National Park and Marcus Beach walks are both fully subscribed. However, there are still places available for the two remaining walks.
The Mangrove Boardwalk at Weyba Creek Conservation Park on Sunday August 27 offers a short walk and a discovery adventure into the mysteries of mangroves. To celebrate Queensland’s Year of Accessible Tourism, the walk is accessible to people in wheelchairs and has adjacent parking. It is also accessible for families with strollers. See and learn how the different mangroves have adapted to thrive in a difficult environment and watch for wildlife associated with this tidal wetland habitat. There is much to see including a surprise package for bird lovers.
You can also still book a place on the walk through the wonderful wallum health and woodlands of Arthur Harold Nature Refuge on Noosa North Shore on Thursday August 31. Access for this walk is via the Noosa North Shore ferry terminal at the bottom of Moorindil Street, Tewantin, QLD 4565.
If you are interested in booking places on either of these walks, please use the links on this page which take you straight to the Eventbrite website.
