Your Committee has been busy planning for an active 2023 we would like to update you briefly on some initiatives.

Firstly,  in respect of your NICA membership, the Committee has resolved to review and enhance the member program, and hence will defer renewals until 1st July and thereafter on a financial year basis.  All current memberships will extend through to 30th June 2023 and we will keep you updated as the renewal date approaches.   New members are always welcome and those joining prior to 1st July this year will enjoy membership through to 30th June 2024.

Work on NICA’s Strategic Review continues and we look forward to providing further updates and soliciting further input from members in March.  Work on redefining NICA’s culture, branding and communications will be included in that review and the Committee is planning a workshop to progress that further.

All of NICA’s regular River, Terrestrial and Threatened Species programs have now recommenced activities and we look forward to shortly announcing a new calendar of “Monday with NICA” events.  Should you wish to participate in any of those activities or know of members of our community who do, please reach out to Gill in the office for the relevant Coordinator.   And finally a reminder Clean Up Australia Day is fast approaching, on Sunday March 5.

Just in case you haven’t seen it yet, NICA’s  Annual Report 2022 is available on our website to read in a new updated format.

Here’s a list of volunteering opportunities around the NICA network.
