Quite a few Noosa native plants are flowering and of interest this December and these Plant Sheets detail the more obvious ones. Local gardeners are adding more and more local plants to their gardens and the wildlife is feeling right at home. Urban gardens, council landscaping and surrounding bushland provide links that encourage Noosa’s natural look.
Professional garden designers are using more and more local plants as they find new and interesting ways to display them. Local native plant nurseries are providing us with many choices to try in our gardens.
These Plant Sheets have been prepared with photographs I have taken over 20 years. Each sheet shows different stages of the plant’s growth such as flower, bud and fruit as well as foliage, bark and form. There is usually a brief description and the botanical and common name to assist with identification for further study. The sheets are added regularly to our UWG Facebook page and will be featured on our new website.
