Flick weed is very hard to eliminate from nursery situations. It grows very well in the high moisture environments found in nurseries. It also produces seed very quickly and the exploding pods spread the seed. Its not a big risk to a garden or bushland but is annoying in pot plants and gravel paths.

Dispersal method: Seed pods explode when mature.

Control measures: Pull out on first sighting. It’s a good idea to hold plants for a week or so and remove Flick Weed seedlings before putting the soil into your garden.
