Common names: African tulip, Fireball, Flame of the forest , Flame tree , Fountain tree
Scientific name: Spathodea campanulata
Native to: Tropical West Africa
Habit: Tree growing up to 24m.
Leaves: Large compound leaves with up to 17 leaflets.
Flowers: Large showy orange flowers.
Control measures: Refer to DAF guidelines in link below. Tree grows from seeds but also cuttings.
