Persicaria decipiens ( pink flowers ) and Woolly Frogmouth (Philydrum lanuginosum) yellow flowers are local Noosa species that are regularly seen in the shire. They both like to grow in water logged soils so it’s no surprise there are plenty out this spring.
Persicaria trails along the ground and the Woolly Frogmouth grows in clumps and stands straight up.
They could be grown in a garden that has wet patches. Noosa Landcare sell Woolly Frogmouth.
Like many water loving plants, they will die off when the rain stops but until then, enjoy these colourful natives.
