The weather was perfect for walking and photography. The Gardens looked good. Displays and a coffee van added to the attractions. Malcolm Cox from Friends of the Gardens welcomed us and talked about their history – an amazing story of vision, dedication and volunteering over 20 years.

These gardens are well worth visiting to see what can be achieved when landscaping with local native species. There are always new plantings, and mature specimens planted 20 years ago show how plants mature. Species are named and a Sunshine Council App on your phone guides you around the spectacular sculpture garden.

The gardens may seem a bit remote (40 minutes away) but your Sat Nav will guide you there. Take a picnic and your camera. There are lots of walks and pleasant spots to sit and enjoy the birdlife.

We have sent Malcolm Cox a copy of “Noosa’s Native Plants Edition 4” to thank him for organizing time to be with us on such a busy weekend.
