The Urban Wildlife Gardens Working Group is delighted to announce another very special free workshop for Urban Wildlife Gardeners.

The workshop will be held at Landcare’s Rural Futures Centre at Pomona from 9.30 am on Saturday 22nd August.  Limited to 20 participants.

To book:  Please text or phone Michelle Newall on 0412 074 103 or email uwg@noosariver.com.au for all the details.

Shaun Walsh is a Landscape Architect and gardener who has established an acreage garden in Cooran of mostly native species over 20 years.  The garden is modelled on a disciplined country estate aesthetic rather than a naturalistic bush garden but informed by biodiversity principles and good design.  He likes to experiment with non-traditional native plant groupings to achieve desired results.
In his day job Shaun is the CEO of South Bank Parklands and Roma Street Parkland in Brisbane and is very pleased to share his design and landscape management expertise with other keen gardeners.
The workshop will cover the fundamentals of the design process and participants will then undertake their own design exercises.
Participants should bring a plan and photos of their own garden if available.
The workshop will conclude with an optional tour of Shaun’s garden at Cooran were you can learn from design decisions he has made in his garden.
