I hope you enjoy the posts I send to the UWG Facebook group. You will find several posts on most days to keep you up to date.
The Group that I administer is ‘What’s in YOUR Noosa Garden?’. It can be accessed at https://www.facebook.com/groups/whatsinyournoosawildlifegarden or search for ‘What’s In Your Noosa Wildlife Garden’. You will need to click “Join Group” to see the posts.
I post local information to this page. This includes photographs of Noosa shire’s fauna and flora and any other information that I come across that might be of interest to Noosa’s urban wildlife gardeners.
My posts are limited to information about and photos of species found within the shire boundary so you do not get confused with species that occur further afield. We are all trying to build up our local knowledge so that we can try to replicate the natural environment in our own gardens.
We have some wonderful bird photographers who contribute to the Facebook Group by sending photos and information. I urge you to read their comments. Other posts include content about local events, plant nursery news and links to other interesting sites.
Information about local plants that are flowering or fruiting is also included in case you already have them or wish to source them if they are appropriate for an urban garden in your area.
The group is a great place for you to share your photos and comments also. Show us what you have in your Noosa Urban Wildlife Garden! Just click on the “write something” box or upload photo(s) with the photo/video button. Just as you would do on your own Facebook page.
