It was all hands on deck to push the boat out to deeper water in a fast receding tide after our bushcare group did a morning weeding in Woods Bay as part of the Tread Lightly program.  A lovely spot but full of Gloriosa, Asparagus, Corky passionflower and Easter cassia. We walked in on dry land past the mangrove fringe initially,  but very soon the tide turned and washed over the coastal salt marsh on the incoming tide.  John Campbell stole the show wading back in shin high water.

Jill and Bruce gave a talk about the Saltmarsh ecosystem while we indulged in morning tea.  We voted this trip among our favourite and look forward to more visits to the area.
