Hot dry weather is a good time to see how plants are standing up to local conditions.  Pandorea jasminoides with a common name of Bower of Beauty and a white variety sold as Princess Di, is hard to beat.  These footpath and median strip plantings in Noosa Eumundi Road, Noosaville, have been flowering for months.  The mulch is regularly topped up to conserve moisture.   Ten out of ten for whoever planted and maintains this display (probably Noosa Council).

The Noosa’s Native Plants website provides more information:

Other examples of the species used as a climbing plant, shows its adaptability.

No wonder landscapers use this local native plant as a dependable species in Noosa gardens.

Flowers attract bees and the dense growth provides shelter for other wildlife.
