The wildflowers are coming!
Urban Wildlife Gardens and NICA are participants in the 2023 Sunshine Coast Wildflower Festival which will be held on Saturday 19 August – Sunday 3 September 2023.
The Sunshine Coast Wildflower Festival is an annual, spring event to celebrate wildflowers on the Sunshine Coast. Started in 1967 by Kathleen McArthur, the festival has grown each year with the support of local community groups hosting walks and activities.
NICA has four walks planned as part of the Festival thanks to volunteer guides, including Urban Wildlife Gardens’ Program Coordinator, Michelle Newall. These will be free, public, guided walks at Noosa North Shore, Sunshine Beach, Marcus Beach and Noosaville.
Bookings will be available online from Monday 3 July. All the activities will be listed on the Sunshine Coast Events website.
