It didn’t get much better for lovers of wildflowers and nature. In perfect weather and accompanied by knowledgeable local guides, participants in NICA’s four walks enjoyed informative forays into the beautiful heathlands, forest, wallum and mangroves around Noosa. Noosa National Park wildflowers were spectacular and the ospreys near Weyba Creek appeared excited to show off their chick.
All four walks were very popular with a mix of locals and visitors and a total attendance of 85. The contribution of volunteer guides, Sue Davis, Michelle Newell, Vanessa Moscato and John Olds, ably supported by Joan Heavey, Peter Hunnam, Rob Price & Ryan Schimke were clearly key to participants’ enjoyment and interest and to the overall success of the walks.
