The Christmas Bells, Blandfordia grandiflora, flower in Summer and can be seen in the wallum of the Girraween Estate in Noosa Shire.
Blandfordia was named by English botanist James Edward Smith in 1804 in honour of George Spencer–Churchill, 5th Duke of Marlborough, and Marquis of Blandford, but it is an Australian Native and is one of Noosa’s Native Plants. https://noosasnativeplants.com.au/plant-details/?pId=83
Enjoy our Native Bushland during your break, it can afford great pleasure. I know that I get a great kick out of seeing the Eastern Grey kangaroos that frequent the bush around the Lake Cooroibah area, despite them being relatively common. They are such graceful creatures, and truly amazing in their physiology.
