Written by Stephanie Haslam this is a field guide to 500 local plants found throughout the Sunshine Coast, Cooloola and Fraser Island. Includes common and scientific names, aboriginal use, landscaping uses, those attractive to birds and butterflies, a local weeds id list and birds list.
First published in 2004, this book is as relevant now as it was then, but as expected it has been updated and added to, expanding from 392 pages to 420. Much of this expansion is due to the inclusion of a section on Orchids led by Joan Heavey. This new section provides authoritative information about Orchids that can be found in areas covered by the book.
