Project Description
Tewantin Primary School was the first school to take part in this educational project in 2010.
In Feb, students from the school collected plant specimens from nearby bushland to create their HerbariumPLUS folder, starting to build up their knowledge and understanding of their local native plants. The site was on the edge of where the new Butler Street roadway will divert traffic away from the school. The local Council has promised to take care of teh bushland during roadworks and replant with local species. So there will be an opportunity for students to watch progress and learn lots of lessons about sustainable living within our natural environment.
