Project Description
With increasing development, social pressures on native vegetation inside remnant bushland, especially those in private ownership or adjacent to suburbia, local bush care groups have been formed to raise public awareness and do on ground weeding and re-vegetation projects.
NICA auspices these groups to enable them to apply for grants from funding bodies such as Noosa Council State and Federal Government.
Most recently auspiced bushland groups are at Sunshine Beach, North Peregian, Heritage Park and Weyba Creek. All bushland care groups in the Noosa area are welcome to use NICA’s grants auspicing service. Contact us for further information.
