The Bushland Care Program is a partnership arrangement between Council and community volunteers who find reward in contributing to positive change in their local bushland areas. The aim of the Program is to actively involve the community in the restoration of degraded bushland areas to reduce the impact of weeds. It is also a great way to meet new friends while caring for Noosa’s environment.
Currently, 18 bushland care groups are registered in the Program. These groups hold regular working bees throughout the year at various locations around the Shire.
