NICA was pleased to be involved in another fundraising/environmental awareness campaign run by Noosa Civic Shopping Centre this year. From Monday 2nd December 350 bamboo toothbrushes were all sold by NICA volunteers. More than 30 million toothbrushes are bought, used and then discarded every year in Australia, amounting to approximately 1,000 tonnes of landfill annually. The proceeds from the #KeepNoosaBeautiful promotion have been donated to NICA totalling $1,771 to be used for environmental projects in the Noosa Catchment. Thank you Noosa Civic Shopping Centre.
