NICA's Wildflower Walks Protection of the natural environment to achieve a sustainable future for the Noosa River and surrounding Biosphere environment.

NICA and Urban Wildlife Gardens hosted 3 events as part of the 2025 Sunshine Coast Wildflower Festival:

Tue 19^th August- Wildflower Walk, Arthur Harrold Refuge, Noosa North Shore
Tue 26^th August – The Battle to Save the Marcus High Dunes, Noosa National Park
Sun 31^st August – Wildflower Walk, Noosa National Park Headland section

Dave Burrows from Noosa Council for collaborating on the Arthur Harrold walk. His fantastic botanical and historical knowledge and enthusiasm were greatly appreciated by all.
Shaun Walsh for his thorough research and engaging story telling about the Battle to Save the High Dunes – and for highlighting the efforts of those who came before us and the incredible outcome achieved. It is a story which could be published somewhere!
