NICA is one of the partners with Noosa & District Landcare who are leading the “Keeping it in Kin Kin” project. The aim of the project is to identify the origin of sediment reaching Lake Cootharaba, the nature and types of erosion, and the possible remediation processes. The Kin Kin Cootharaba sub catchment is a major contributor of runoff to the Noosa River system, so this project has major implications for its health.
