Use your garden plants and visitors as a subject.
Capture them with your camera. Begin to build up a record of the species that use your garden for food water and shelter; notice how they interact with each other and the plants that attract them.
If you draw and record with a pencil you may have to consult a reference book or the internet for the finer points.
Begin noticing the moths (resting with wings open) and the butterflies (resting with wings folded).
Count the legs. 6 for an Insect. Eight – probably a spider. Two legs and wings could be a bird. What are they eating? Did you fill the birdbath? What is flowering or fruiting? Is there water near the ground and some sunny rocks for the lizards?
Have you thought of keeping a record of what you see?
Would you like to have a Journaling workshop?
