The Urban Wildlife Gardens (UWG) program is primarily designed to operate on small parcels of land in areas designated for residential purposes, so it provides urban dwellers with an opportunity to be good land managers on their own bit of land.
Monday with NICA ‘Welcome Back’ on 18th October
Monday's with NICA relaunched last night at the CWA Hall in Tewantin after an extended Covid-related hiatus. Tony, Bruce, Peter, Alex and Richard gave an update on current projects and Sandy Bolton MP presented volunteers with NICA workshirts and hats.
North Shore Clean Up
As part of NICA's new "Get Your Wetlands" program, a dedicated group of residents and volunteers from Noosa's North Shore, Ozfish Unlimited (Noosa) and NICA trekked to the North Shore on October 5 to identify and remove accumulated rubbish.
Girraween Bushcare Group Update
This is an update on the work that this group has been doing. As many will know, we have been weeding and restoring the native vegetation for many years in the Girraween Nature Refuge, which borders the Noosa National Park.
