Boat Survey of the Noosa River
To inform future river management and develop a more sustainable model for our much-loved Noosa River NICA recently conducted a detailed survey of all vessels downstream of the ferry crossing.

30 new purpose built and fully recycled fishing line recovery bins have been installed in the Noosa River Catchment.
Sand Island Weeding – Tuesday 6th September
Volunteers needed for a working bee on the sand island in the Noosa River estuary. The sand island is closed from October to March so this will be our last visit for the year.

Bushcare Group in Profile; Girraween
Girraween Nature Reserve is home to numerous threatened species including the eastern ground parrot, wallum sedge frog and glossy black cockatoo. As recently as 2019, the area was ravaged by wildfire.
