30 new purpose built and fully recycled fishing line recovery bins have been installed in the Noosa River Catchment.
Sand Island Weeding – Tuesday 6th September
Volunteers needed for a working bee on the sand island in the Noosa River estuary. The sand island is closed from October to March so this will be our last visit for the year.

Bushcare Group in Profile; Girraween
Girraween Nature Reserve is home to numerous threatened species including the eastern ground parrot, wallum sedge frog and glossy black cockatoo. As recently as 2019, the area was ravaged by wildfire.

The very successful Sunshine Coast Wildflower Festival will run from Saturday 20th August to Sunday 4th September, NICA will host four popular walks in the Noosa Shire.
