Sunshine Butterflies provided a stunning backdrop for our October workshop. CEO Leanne and husband Damien Walsh welcomed us as we road-tested their brand new Information Building with paving finished the day before for our convenience.
Our Guest Presenter was Joel Fostin who told us about his work with with the Pandanus Beetle and its parasitising wasp. He talked briefly about insects generally and recommended the book “Miniature Lives” by Michelle Gleeson
We were treated to a tour of the grounds and the impressive landscaping that had been carried out. Owner Damien, a landscaper and nurseryman, had put his skills to work to create a great facility for disabled people, their carers and the public.
Joel and Damien were presented with NICA publications.
