This NICA group meets on the last Tuesday of the month, removing weeds and replacing with native species where necessary.  They work  north from Ozcare along the eastern edge of Cooyar St, and then along  Sunshine Beach Road to Bicentennial Dve.

14 volunteers helped out in January, and another 15 in February (as well as 2 Council staff), for a total of 80 volunteer hours.

It is a never ending battle, but satisfying to see the native plants flourish, and it makes a pleasant walk for locals and visitors alike.

The pink weed bag is almost full!
