So many local native plants are flowering prolifically in Noosa this Spring. It’s tempting to believe that all the hot air, political nastiness and the horrors of Covid 19 is falling back to earth as a fertilizer.  Everything is flowering as if there is no tomorrow, or maybe just trying extra hard to encourage us to look at them and realise how important the natural environment is to the future of our species.

Every few days something else bursts into bloom.  The wildflowers have been spectacular and the walks have been booked out with people trying to learn more about our local plants.

In Cooroy the native wisteria on the corner of the new Sauers Hardware is worth a visit.  Also in Cooroy, just look at the (not local) Native Tree Waratah in front of the RSL Hall.

And the Native Frangipani outside Noosa Banks on McKinnon Drive is looking good.  As for the bottlebrush! What a sight they have been this year. Do you have old turpentine trees near you? The ones out here at Lake Cooroibah look amazing.

And the White Cedars! Wow.

Please enjoy.  It’s been a wonderful season.
