If you take a wander along BA 54 & 55 at Peregian Beach you’ll notice the work that’s being undertaken as part of Noosa Council’s 3 Yr Multi Grant ‘Coastal Connect’ which sees a collaboration between 6 Bushcare teams & their contractors to rehabilitate over 3 years,  the 11km long coastal bushland strip between Peregian & Sunshine Beaches.

It is a mammoth task, nigh on impossible but evidence of progress shows in the photos of the assaults undertaken on widespread Singapore Daisy & a thick stand of Argentinian pepper trees.  Nibble nibble nibble, we’re making a noticeable difference,  thanks to Noosa Council funding & Joel Morris & his Bushland Conservation team.

The weather is glorious for working in our coastal environment at the moment. I couldn’t resist recently,  getting into a patch of baleria I’d been watching for a while! Such rewarding work!

Noosa Council is making this large scale bushland regeneration project possible with the support of funding over 3 years.
