As part of the World Environment Day Festival NICA has an excursion on the Noosa River.
Come join us, meet at O Boat Hire for a fun-filled outing exploring the beautiful islands of the Noosa River! This event will take you on a scenic adventure through the crystal-clear waters, where you can soak up the sun and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Whether you’re a nature lover, an avid photographer, or just looking for a relaxing morning out on the water.
NICA will take you by Pontoon Boat to discover what is special about each of the Islands in the Noosa River.
Topics include migratory and resident shorebirds, kangaroos, dugong, turtles, rays, oyster reefs, bull sharks and marine life dependent on mangroves, saltmarsh.
As part of this World Environment Day excursion we will discuss marine litter and microplastics and the devastation it causes to marine and bird life. Please bring a sample if you’d like to. Morning tea provided.
