Let’s help ensure local turtle hatchlings have a fighting chance of survival as they make their way from the dunes to the ocean this season.
This will be Noosa Council’s first year taking part in the annual event run by Sunshine Coast Council in partnership with #TurtleCareSunshineCoast, Reef Check Australia, Unitywater and SeaLife Sunshine-Coast Aquarium.
We love the fact that #cleanupforhatchlings is a single-use plastic free event!
If you are planning to attend, we would encourage you to register. Be sure to bring gloves, wear enclosed footwear and sun smart clothing, use reef safe sunscreen and don’t forget your #refillable water bottle.
Volunteers are invited to join the combined Clean-Up For Turtle Hatchlings celebrations at Coopers Lookout Park, south of the Kawana Surf Club, from 8am. Free barbecue breakfast, a prize draw and other fun activities
