July 2019 – Noosa Bush Beach & Creek Care ( NBBCC) have received a grant from Noosa Council, auspiced by NICA, for the ongoing regeneration of Heathland Drive riparian embankment of the Cooloosa Wetland. This will include removal of multiple species of invasive weeds and staged revegetation to re-establish multi-strata healthy deep rooted vegetation to provide habitat and food sources for wildlife. On 25th July the NBBCC group at Cooloosa St Sunshine Beach were assisted by a class of 12-16 year old Japanese students who are spending 2 weeks at the Noosa Lexis School.
