NICA has received a grant for a new laser printer as part of the Sandy Bolton MP Quick Start grants.
20 volunteers from Noosa Bush Beach and Creek Care, Noosa Parks’ Botany Group and NICA went on 2 pontoon boats to Sheep Island Conservation Area. A species list hadn’t previously been documented.

Ospreys are also known as the river hawk, fish hawk, or sea hawk, typically living as long as 15 to 20 years.

At NICA's boat launch members of NICA celebrated the much-anticipated new boat 'Osprey', it has enhanced safety features and stability for volunteers.
Despite the the looming threat of Tropical Cyclone Alfred which delivered windy and showery weather, our fearless volunteers collectively filled an estimated 50 bags of rubbish. Additionally, heavy and bulky items such as mattresses, wooden pallets, kayaks, bicycles and car tyres were found and hauled out.
This summer local conservation volunteers with NICA will clean up and start repair of 3 degraded sections of the Estuary foreshore in Tewantin.
