NICA was delighted to join Noosa Council and other local environmental groups for discussions on the Destination Management Plan (DMP).
The conversation was lively, with strong reminders of past threats to Noosa’s precious environment — and how the united Noosa community rose to protect it.
NICA will support the DMP where it addresses the management of the Noosa Catchment. We look forward to working closely with Council to secure appropriate funding for existing programs and on-ground action.
We sincerely hope that this initiative will result in measurable ecological impact. Real results require genuine incentives for both locals and tourists to actively care for and enhance our environment.
