Thanks to the NICA members who joined us for our end of year celebration and AGM on the Noosa Queen on 12th December.  We celebrated a year of hard work with our members. So good to know that we just can sit back and relax knowing that the oysters are spatting, the banks and waterways cleaned, weeds removed, gardens planted, bins in place, birds counted and observed, water tested and monitored.

We welcome the new committee for 2023; Angela Van Boxtel, President, Juanita Bloomfield, Vice-president, Richard Howard, Treasurer, Jon Olds, Committee and Gillian Studdock, Secretary.

NICA’s Annual Report is now available online to download here, I encourage all to do so and learn about what happens in the totality of our organisation.

Only together we can make a difference and while basking in the sun, flowing along the river on the Noosa Queen we all agree ‘ain’t we lucky to live in such a wonderful place’. Let’s keep it that way but let’s also pass on our efforts and knowledge for generations to come.

On behalf of the NICA committee I wish you all a Happy Christmas and best wishes for 2023.

Angela Van Boxtel, NICA President
