NICA’s innovative “Enter the Flyosphere” shorebird awareness program is approaching takeoff with the launch of new interpretive signage at the Noosa River mouth car park soon to be joined by a short film piece produced by the highly regarded team at Panga Productions. The team has been busy capturing footage of our threatened shorebirds in the estuary over the last several months before the shorebirds (and terns) return north on their winter migration. Our aim is to increase awareness of the incredibly rich biodiversity and breathtaking migration journeys of these species – our most precious visitors.
