NICA is pleased to announce that the Noosa River Catchment Fund, NICA’s public fund, has awarded funding to the Girraween Bushcare Group led by Jill Campbell, Bruce Hallett and Roger Kelly, to continue its key on-ground restoration works in the Girraween Nature Reserve and Upper Burgess Creek catchment area. This area, still recovering from the 2019 Bushfires, represents crucial habitat for numerous threatened species including the Ground Parrot and Glossy Black Cockatoo.
