In light of the recent flooding and to provide the community with more time to submit responses to the Noosa River speed limit review, MSQ has extended the consultation period by 2 weeks to 31 March, 2022. Intended to improve safety in the busy lower reaches of the Noosa River, MSQ is proposing to implement a permanent six-knot speed limit from the river mouth through to the Thomas Street boat ramp and follows concerns raised by the community and the NRSAC.
NICA is currently finalising its submission to MSQ with valued input from numerous Riverwatch members and we encourage every member with an interest to provide individual submissions to MSQ.
