Noosa Shire Council does a great job of using natives in the roundabouts and refuge islands. These environments are challenging for plants to grow in, and our local natives do well. The three vines highlighted here are very hardy and colourful. To keep the vines in shrub shape cut off stems that are trying to find something to climb up on. Prune regularly and only take the stems that are not part of the compact shape.

  1. Hibbertia scandens, Snake vine, yellow flower
  2. Hardenbergia violacea, Native Sarsaparilla
  3. Pandorea jasminoides, Bower of beauty
