Phebalium woombye

I have some Phebalium woombye tubestock to give away to UWG members.

Phebalium woombye is a shrub that grows up to two metres in height. It is an attractive plant with  small white flowers and pale undersides of the leaf. It can be pruned to use as a hedge. Suitable for sun and semi shade areas.

Its best suited to the coastal suburbs so if you live along the coastal strip and would like a plant or two, please text Michelle on 0412074103.

Bunya pine nuts

This season has been a bumper one for Bunya nuts. (Araucaria bidwillii)

Many Hinterland residents are giving away there cones for free and can be found on Facebook community pages. There are great Bush tucker and can be used in a variety of ways. Google for how to prepare and recipes.

BE CAREFUL. Cones fall from trees without warning and weight up to 10kg. I don’t recommend planting a Bunya pine in an urban setting.
