Thanks to support from Sandy Bolton MP through the 2021 Community Connect grant program, NICA is pleased to announce its new drone, a Mavic Air-2, is now in flight. Piloted by renowned local filmmaker, Klaus Horner, and restoration ecologist, Alex Western, the drone represents an invaluable addition to NICA’s monitoring and surveillance capabilities. With a range of 18.5km, a top speed of almost 70kph and an extended flight time of 34 minutes, the new NICA drone offers outstanding HDR camera capabilities in still and video format.
