Garden for Wildlife is a program for suburban gardeners, supporting landowners who wish to create wonderful gardens for our local wildlife. The program will encourage gardeners to welcome, identify, enjoy and protect local wildlife. It will provide an attractive sign for property gates or fence, produce newsletters, information folders, advice and run specialist workshops on garden design, plant selection, creating habitats and ponds, etc. Through newsletters, information folders and specialist workshops the program will encourage gardeners to welcome, identify, enjoy and protect local wildlife.
During July 2017 NICA has been successful in obtaining a grant from Noosa Council to conduct a scoping study on the feasibility of introducing this program to Noosa.
